Jeb Bush Will Win in 2016!

Fresh off a strong prediction in this year's election in both the outcome and the Electoral Count, Bill Chicago makes Another Prediction!

Jeb Bush Will Win In 2016!

Billy Chicago's research files are stuffed with data.

To summarize, The Democrats will be able to offer only one candidate strong enough to win, Hillary Clinton. She may not run, but probably will.

Bush is a shoe-in for the nomination, has all the tools already in place to begin campaigning immediately and be fully able to fine-tune his image for the next four years.

Because of her current health, Clinton will need a recovery period before she starts campaigning in earnest. Eventually Bush will prove to be unbeatable.

Tuck this prediction away. We'll discuss it again.

What is Supply Side Economics?

What is Supply Side Economics, Trickle-Down Economics, Reaganomics, Voodoo Economics?
Chances are, if you have watched the news or have been reading the papers lately, you've often wondered, what exactly is supply side economics anyway. If so, you are not alone.
Here is the answer, in a nutshell. But to really get a better grasp of the subject, please read on.
Supply Side Economics is a theory. The theory contends that lowering tax rates  for the rich will unleash an avalanche of new business investment by the rich and that investment will, in turn, spur economic growth, boost job creation, and lead to general economic growth for everyone.
Please note that supply side economics, trickle-down economics, Reaganomics and voodoo economics are all different ways of naming the same idea.

Better Understanding of Supply Side Economics

In order to better understand supply side economics, you'll need more than just the simple definition above.
What follows is an attempt to not only provide you with the simple definition, but to provide you with some thoughts and insights as to how exactly the concept works in practice and some additional ideas about whether the concept works as it’s originators originally intended.

The Sky is Falling Meteor Shower Saturday

Don't look now, but the sky is falling.

Or maybe you do want to look; it's harmless and pleasant. Every year at this time, the Leonid meteor shower briefly brightens the sky.

The peak comes this weekend, in the hours before dawn on Saturday. If the weather is clear and you have an appetite, you may enjoy a quiet display of shooting stars.

We're passing through the debris left by a comet called 55P/Tempel-Tuttle. As pieces -- some as small as grains of sand -- burn up in the upper atmosphere, they leave brief, bright streaks. They'll appear to come from the constellation of Leo the Lion, south of the Big Dipper, though they can appear anywhere in the night sky.

Remembering My Marine Hero On Veteran's Day

I pray for my uncle's soul today. My mother's brother. Pray with blurry eyes and  tears streaming down my face.

God bless this solitary life. Nobody lives in this world forever, but when the time is taken to imagine what traits would be required, Hilary Burkey could easily fill in as a model.

Captured in the Bataan-Corrigidor area as a young marine of 17, yes 17 is correct, his POW destiny  would include 4 seemingly endless, unimaginal years of confinement and almost daily torture. First hand stories of  some fellow prisoners are too painful to recount in a public forum.

His body of steel and his will of iron would never give in. The demons planted in his mind would prove, in the end, to never let him break free. He spent the remainder of his 75 years in a veteran's hospital until he, at last, succumbed some years ago. One of my sons carries his name.

He was honored by the Marines and some fellow prisoners at his funeral.

I pray for him today and for the millions of other true heros who pay the fare for the rest of us so that we may enjoy our lives in a way that others who are less fortunate do not.

Obama Will Win!

Billy Chicago's Day Before The Election Prediction:

Obama 303 Votes to Romney 235!

Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun Times and I agree on almost everything. It's not surprising then that he came up with the same exact number in this morning's newspaper. In 2008, I beat him out by one state. James Carville, of National fame, beat us both out and hit the electoral number right on the head. As of this moment, Carville has not announced, but, as always, his number will bear watching.

Remember, Billy Chicago predicted an Obama win on September 7. I'm now raising the bet.

And, as Rooeper said this morning, "when it’s all over, a small but not tiny percentage of Americans will continue to believe Barack Obama is a foreign-born Socialist bent on destroying America, the government engineered Hurricane Sandy to give the president a crisis to handle in the stretch run, the mainstream media was overwhelmingly biased in its coverage of the election, and the election was probably rigged so real Americans couldn’t take back the country".
